Ng Fai Tin Trail ( from Lohas Park) – Medium

I wanted to try something different and so on a wet, foggy, wintry morning I took my hiking partner along with me and hiking we did go.

Difficulty: 6/10 loads of steps to climb at the initial part

Duration: 2 hours

How to get there: I took the train to Lohas Park and exited at C1. From there we walked towards the Beaumont complex and after passing the entrance of the complex, there’s a narrow path to the right which we took.

We were met with myriads of steps, it seemed like a never ending staircase to heaven 😁

We came across ropes tied to some trees which were extremely helpful as it was slippery while climbing up.

Loads of trees still covered the path due to the September, super Typhoon Mangkhut.

But the path was very beautiful.

We came across beautiful flora along the way. It was so serene and peaceful.

We continued walking through this forest path till we came to a place where we did decided to have some piping hot tea and slices of orange cake to celebrate my hiking buddy’s birthday. We stopped and sat near the sign that stated Ng Fai Tin.

Post our cake cutting, tea drinking and chatting, we took the steps and walked through the foggy path.

Finally we came to a sign that stated Mang Kung Uk and we followed that path.

We came to the end of the trail which brought us to a bus stop and we took the mini green bus 103 M to the Tseung Kwan O MTR and went home happily after such a wondrous hike on a cold, wet Sunday morn.

This is a beautiful hike one must try but it would be better to try such a hike on a sunny day.

This is child friendly and pet friendly, however not stroller friendly.

Happy hiking!
