Rhino Rock – Easy

If you want some adventure then Rhino Rock is the hike to try.

How to get there: take the number 14 bus from Sai Wan Ho MTR exit A till Stanley Fort which is the last stop.

Cross the road and you will notice a small opening which takes you up some steps very close to the picture below.

Duration : 1 hour

Difficulty: 4/10 only because of the bushwhacking and rock climbing.

Keep walking up the steps.

You will reach a slope, keep walking.

Finally you will reach this trigonometric structure, turn right and walk into the bushes.

Then take a left and hold onto the branches at the side as this slope is a bit slippery.

The views are fantastic from the top.

Just keep following the rocky path and turn right ,you will spot some pink ribbons tied to the bushes that can be used as an additional help too.

Keep walking downwards

Climb over these rocks

From a distance you’ll see a rock formation of a pigs head.

Keep walking towards that.

And then squeeze through these rocks.

Down we go

Finally we end up at the Rhino Rock

You can also see the Stanley Prison from the top.

Going back is the same way.

You walk down the path you climb and go back to the number 14 bus stop.

You can also walk all the way on Wong Ma Kok Road to the Stanley Market and take the bus from the stop outside Pacific coffee opposite Stanley Police Station.

This is a very beautiful hike, it is a wee bit difficult but very doable.

Do try it!!
